If I'm running on the roads, gravel canal path, and even some trails, I will use the Lunar Tempo as a daily trainer. It's light weight and great for faster workouts and races but also provides great cushioning for long runs and races.
When I hit the trail I will go with the Challenger ATR more times than not. They are a very versatile shoe that can handle going the road mile from my house to the trail with no problem. I even won the Syracuse Half Marathon in them and they were great! They handle well in the mud and even though they are maximal shoes they don't feel too bulky and are responsive on technical trails.
When I'm going for a long run and know I will be able to fill up along the way I like using Amphipod handhelds. They are very comfortable to carry and the 16oz (left) and 20oz (right) are great to have on the run.
